The Hotel Leonardo dates back to the Romanesque period and was once a tavern called ‘U Kuchynku’. The interiors have been sympathetically restored and are uncluttered. The décor is simple and enhanced by antique furniture throughout. Rooms in the upper levels of the building have exposed beams.
Situated on a quiet back street close to the Charles Bridge, the hotel is well placed for exploring Prague’s historic sights. The Old Town Square and the major tourist and business points in the city are easily reached on foot. However, for travelling further afield, trams are available on the embankment nearby. The nearest metro station is Staromestska which is 350m from the hotel.
There are 82 spacious, air-conditioned rooms and suites all with a private bathroom with shower and / or bath, WC and hairdryer. Other facilities include: satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, PC connection point, mini-bar and safe. Some of the suites are equipped with a kitchenette. In addition, some rooms and suites have views of the Vltava and Prague Castle. Unfortunately there are no rooms equipped for disabled visitors.
The ‘Platina’ restaurant seats 60 to 70 people and serves international dishes. The walls and arched ceilings are decorated with frescoes painted by Josef Palouka. There is also a bar at the hotel.
Meeting rooms with audio visual equipment are available for conferences or meetings. There is a lift. Parking facilities are available 400 m from the hotel.
