Welcome: The hotel was built in 1906, and in 1986 it closed down for a complete renovation. Because the building is one of the few examples of Viennese Art Nouveau, there was lengthy deliberations among experts and the general public about how it should be restored. The original character was preserved using the so-called "house within a house" renovation scheme, which kept the outer wall and façade intact. When it reopened in 1989 it was as one of the most elegant and high service hotels in the country.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located in Prague's business and shopping centre, very close to Old Town Square, all public transportation links and all major tourist sights and attractions.

Rooms: Hotel Palace offers 124 luxury, fully air-conditioned rooms, and suites, for single or double occupancy. All rooms are furnished with period furniture, satellite TV, prepaid television channels, internet access, minibar, safe, 2 direct dial telephones and the option of connection to a fax or computer. The bathrooms are Art Nouveau and lined with Carrara marble. The hotel has a wide range of suites available, from Junior Suite up to Presidential Suite.

Restaurants: Dine in the atmosphere of an English Club from the beginning of the 20th century, with an open fireplace and live piano music. Excellent service, authentic silverware, and consummate gastronomy is supplemented in other restaurant areas: "L'Epoque" Restaurant, or the Gourmet Palace Lounge", which serves less formal meals.
