Welcome: The grandiose Art Nouveau building of the "Hostel Imperial" is situated in the centre of the Prague. The building was erected in 1914 as a luxury hotel. It was renovated in 2000 and retains the luxurious atmosphere. The hostel is good for students, individual travellers and small groups.

Location: The building is situated in the centre, and is about 5 minutes walk to the historical center. Both tram and metro stations are a step away.

Rooms: The rooms have basic furniture but are tidy and clean. Because of the historical value of the building, a large scale reconstruction was not allowed, only small internal renovations. Therefore the facilities on each floor are shared. However, they are totally new (2000) and are kept very clean.

Restaurants: There is a very nice breakfast room / restaurant / cafe on the ground floor, where breakfast is served (continental). During lunch and dinner it is also open to public, who come here for the incredible decor and dixie or jazz music. The prices are very reasonable and there is live jazz and swing played four times a week.

Services: The hostel provides basic services and parking is available nearby. PLEASE NOTE: THIS HOTEL WILL BE CLOSED FROM 15 OCTOBER 2005 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO REFURBISHMENT
