  • Cesky Sternberk

    Cesky Krumlov overview

Cesky Sternberk Castle perches on cliffs in the romantic and wooded valley above the Sázava river and compares with early gothic castles originating in the middle ages. The characteristic of such castles are fortifications, bastions and towers. Later on its interiors were altered into the late gothic and early baroque styles and are richly decorated with stucco works. Nowadays the castle is in the possession of Sternberks again and houses interesting expositions on castle-living style.
